Post 5: changes to my study program

Hi Bloggers. I hope you are very well.

Today I am going to write about the academic program of the Universidad de Chile.

When I started studying social work, I thought about the importance of making community and be able to help each other.

Social work career at the Universidad de Chile it lasts for five years. I had subjects on topics of history,  philosophy, economics, social policies, among others.

The degree at the university has a completely investigative focus. We do not have professional professional practice. The closest thing to a professional practice is helping teachers in their research. Sometimes there is contact with institutions, and you can interact with other people.

The truth is that I did not expect this when I decided to study social work. I had a different expectation.

At university I have had the opportunity to investigate social problems of my interest. I have done a very important investigation for me, which has to do with the problems of prison and social reintegration.

The objective of the investigation was to know the reality of life of a woman, mother, with restriction of her freedom.

With this I was able to realize the shortcomings of the state, when this woman was looking for opportunities to improve her quality of life and that of her family.

Maybe an investigative approach isn't so bad. I have learned a lot.

And I was very excited.                                        We took a flight from "Santiago of Chile" to "Lima, Perú", place where we meet my friend's father, who went to pick us up at the airport. Together we spent 2 weeks traveling through different cities. We went to the city of "Huaraz" and in this place we visited "Laguna 69", located in the huascarán national park at 4,600 meters above sea level. It really is a beautiful place to enjoy. We also visit "Cusco", the ancient Inca city "Machu Picchu". I learned in this place a little more about the social organization of this empire. And I loved it!! Then we go to the city of "Puno", where we sail on lake "Titicaca". It was impressive to be in that place!! I discovered that this lake...
